1. Be respectful
- No harassment, hate, bullying, or threats
- Disagree without personal attacks
- Treat others as you’d like to be treated
2. No personal data or doxxing
- Don’t post phone numbers, emails, addresses, NI numbers, or bank details
- Don’t share other people’s private information
- Keep personal details off the platform for everyone’s safety
3. No naming-and-shaming or defamation
- Do not accuse or publicly shame specific restaurants, people, agencies, or chefs
- If you’ve had an issue, report it privately via ChefMatch support or admin tools
- Posts that name businesses or individuals in a negative way may be removed
4. Professional content only
- Keep discussions related to chefs, kitchens, rates, skills, and work
- No spam, scams, or advertising external services
- Stay on topic and add value to the community
5. Safety and legality
- No illegal advice or encouragement of illegal activity
- No threats or encouragement of harm
- No discrimination on the basis of protected characteristics
6. Moderation (AI and human)
Some content is automatically moderated and may be blocked or flagged. Users can report content. ChefMatch admins can remove posts, suspend accounts, or ban users. Repeated violations lead to account action.
7. Visibility
- The community is chef-only (restaurants and admin cannot post)
- Restaurant details may be hidden in parts of the platform
- Anonymous posting hides your name from others, but ChefMatch can still see the author for safety
8. Disclaimers
- Community posts are user-generated; ChefMatch does not endorse the opinions expressed
- ChefMatch is not responsible for losses caused by relying on community advice
- Payments and jobs are governed by the platform terms
- ChefMatch does not guarantee job outcomes or earnings
